The Music Room
The music room in "Kongegaarden" is approximately 150 m2 and can accommodate
some 90 people. It is on the top floor, in the Mansard roof which used
to be an all-purpose loft.
The room is well dimensioned and with the original timber constructions
and windows, as well as the floor of oak planks, it makes a charming concert
verve.
Gratifyingly, the acoustics are magnificent and regularly delights both
artists and audience.
Many great artists have given concerts in the room and the piano, a Steinway
& Sons, model C-227 from 1964, renovated in 1996, has attracted praise
by professional pianists.
When the concert room is not in use it is at the disposal of the musician
or composer of the rent-free residence. The staircase to the left in the
photo leads to the residence.
Performing
in the beautiful, historic and unique Kongegaarden
was
a thoroughly enjoyable experience;
the
ambience was very friendly
and
we had a fantastic rapport with the audience.
